Addendum:
Quite some time later I found out that this comic and the related site were an elaborate prank
via another email. I'm still waiting for the email that will confirm that, in fact, every
lame sprite comic ever made is all part of one big prank. I'll keep you posted.
mcDuffies says:
Let's see what every sprite comic has, one by one:
1. Characters standing (floating) in blank space, eventually on MS or ripped background.
2. Author/character introducing himself in very first panel.
3. Bad spelling. Wait, no spelling. Guys, english is not my first language, I started learning it when I was 10. If I can spell decently, so can you.
4. Sonic.
5. Making speech bubbles is too much effort. One line is enough, dammit.
6. Dissing his own comic (here: no good ideas is warning reader that comic is not good in advance).
7. Characters arguing for no good reason.
8. Characters calling each other 'bitch'. Specially if they're male.
9. Characters speaking to themself to add information that is taken away by motionlesness of faces, bodies or any event on panel whatsoever. (here: "urge to kill... rising.")
10. Swearing makes you cool.
11. Killing each other - effects made in MS paint which is intented to be a helping tool, not drawing tool. However, weapons are usually energy fire weapong, not cold weapons like here.
12. Omnipotence of author. Besides not being funny, it messes up every storyline because you simply cannot work out motivations of characters with an omnipotent creator mixing in all the time. I mean, you don't see god reaching from the sky saying: "Hey, let's put this guy in the middle of the ocean to see what he'll do!", do you? I see such self-pumping in these comics a sort of latent egoism.
13. Using word awesome for describing nearly everything.
And guess: this comic's got it all.
P.S. Funny enough here's a reason these people make comics: they're more coherent than their mails ;-)
Terotrous says:
Oh man. I suspect this site and email are parodies, but
I'm honestly not sure. Either way, this is like exactly what
HNTRAC is about. I spent over 10 minutes deciphering that email
alone. And it's got sprites killing each other in it.
I don't think you could really improve on this in any way.
Phalanx says:
I have to agree with Tero here. This is an almost perfect example of How Not To Run A Comic. *salutes*
