Process of getting a reader interested in your comic is very fragile part. The biggest mestake you can make is assuming he's already interested in it. At the beginning, reader is hardly interested in all this elaborate data about characters. He may be later, when comic moves on it's way and he gets to know characters. At the moment of introducing - hardly.
