Colby says:
The best and worst thing about this comic is that it manages
to rip off Lord of the Rings AND He-Man on the same page.
on a side note: I keep expecting the characters to stumble sideways
out of the lopsided panels.
Phalanx says:
I love how Fang ends his letter (Regards... ). This is priceless!
Also love the lameness of the parenthesis. Imagine if the whole thing were like that: I (the hero) and my trusty friend and comrade in arms (the sidekick) will avenge the death of my father (the king) and destroy the evil! (The really bad guy). Heh.
Terotrous says:
This is actually pretty darned funny. I love the
fact that they have to remind the main character that
his father is the king. That's so incredibly lame that
it actually works. And they're counting how many
chapters there's been in their adventures.
mcDuffies says:
It's a full-scale parody. Lots of contradictions, including:
-Fang having to send a note to a hero, warning him, thus making himself a trouble for no reason.
-Lack of any motivation of fang.
-Convienient appearance of wizard.
-Fack that hat itself makes him reckognised as wizard.
Load of cliches, as the whole revenge-for-killing-father setup or brave-hero-cowardly-sidekick characterisation.
I specially like the part "Curse him, curse him to heck" where hero expresses some deep pain, yet takes care of avoiding swears, not to insult younger audience. That, and wizard avoiding to say "ring" in consideration of copyright and originality issues.
