For best results, use white paper, no lines, quill-pen or marker, or pencil if you're good with it, avoid ballpoint pen.
If you're left out of paper, don't use the leftovers lying around because every spot on the paper will be visible in the comic. Don't use the back of the used paper because marks of the image on front side will be visible through the paper.
If you're left out of pencils, don't use the ones that are dying and you have to scrap on the paper to squeeze what's left of ink out of it.
Use quality tools and it will pay back in good look of the comic
