How Not To Do An Action Scene #10

God, there are probably too many comics/mangas/animes that do this sort
of thing (think Dragonball Z). There's about four or five things wrong
with this: (1) why would you have an attack that takes so freakin' long
to power up? You'd be killed long before you had it ready. (2) What
point do the guys standing up on the cliff going "wow, I've never seen
such power since the last time I saw such power!" really serve? All
they really do is stand there, let their eyes get really huge, and let
sweat drops the size of your hand develop all over. (3) There's
actually no real action in the scene.

This is such a funny piss-take at those manga power-ups. Of course, we ALL know that he'll powerup just in time to save his friends and never gets hit while he's vulnerable... mcDuffies says:
