But yeah, there’s often some poor sod that you know is gonna be killed simply because he’s unimportant and hanging around. Usually, preferences of author are obvious – you can see which characters he likes, to which characters he’s fairly ambivalent. By that, you can easily conclude which character is gonna be killed just as a demonstration of power.
Somehow, I always thought this kind of killing is utter disrespect of a human life, by artist.
And don’t you think it’s a bit illogical that villain will kill the least dangerous enemy of all?
