Yep, you can really see a drawing through the paper. Draw comics on one side of the paper, papers are not that expensive.
Also, this artist should’ve adjusted contrast and levels after scanning this page, in order to make it look decent and readable. Using a graphic program is a must for online artist. Even if you don’t know how do to handle such program, with a little good will you’ll learn it with time.
Also, he should’ve used better paper to start with. Crop so that edges of notebook are not visible (unless he’s going for ‘indie’ look).
And all in all, it’s easy to forget to mention the stereotypical death scene from the comic at all.
