Murders in sprite comics often occur for the most pointless reasons. If you think I’m caricaturing too much, let me tell you that I basically just rewrote a scene I’ve seen in some other comic. It’s a variation of classic “omnipotent author – impotent character” procedure from sprite comic, it’s not particularly original that they’re fighting over a girl here.
A visual side: supposedly a fight scene, this scene is totally static. Every character is stuck in his position, artist’s alter ego is aiming at other for too long. On the other hand, the character is standing and waiting to get shot. The words “Hey, what are you doing” are supposed to explain his hesitating as if he doesn’t realize that the other one is aiming to shoot him, even though it’s more than obvious.
Finally, character doesn’t un-stiff even when he’s shot. His sprite is just rotated. Noone falls on the ground with his hands beside his body. Plasma effects are made in MS Paint. Those are very poor effects, in fact they can hardly be called effects at all. Don’t use MS Paint to make explosions, blood and gunshots in your sprite or photo comics. The discrepancy between material you copy/paste in your comic and quality of these “effects” is just too much.
